Breastfeeding is really commitment. Since the breastmilk is a way better than formula. We decided to feed Axel the breastmilk exclusively for at least 12 months. The decision that we've made honestly really tough for me, as working mom.

The double electric breast pump that I bought a few weeks ago seriously is a time saver than my manual pump. My OBgyn recommended Medela but I bought Philips Avent after reading the reviews. I shopped the electric pump, the bottles and the spinning rack. Those stuff are really worth it for 100% nursing mom.

Axel feeds a lot and pees a lot. We feed him every 2-3 hours currently. I have to supply at least 4-5 bottles of breastmilk everyday during the day. So I pumped every morning before leaving to work and when I got time to fit my working schedule. Most of the time I can't have lunch meal. I tried to eat good snack a lot and drink a lot during working time.

One more thing is the cleaning part. Washing, sanitizing ang sterilizing the breast pump parts and the bottles each time after using really giving me such a hard time sometimes but I have to do it to prevent bacteria and avoid the risk to the baby.

Pumping the milk is an amazing experience. I never get bored watching the milk squirting out from both breast everytime the pump working on them. Filling up the bottlefull definitely is my satisfaction part. I guess it made me less anxiety or worry  if I am not around and leave my baby with somebody else.

While I am away or doing chores at home, he did a lot of things to take care of him. Those pictures are some of it...

Soothe him

Make him sleep...

I guess both of them really enjoyed being together.

Axel started showing his personality when he is going to two months old.The cutest thing for now he smiles a lot, talks in his language when he is in good mood.  Cooing and babbling like oooh, aah , coo uniquely way when he responds to my voice. Listening to baby talks is amazing and making me so excited especially it is my son (anyway I still hard to believe that I have my own baby :)).  It is so adorable when he communicates with me and I keep the conversation flowing to discover his responds.

He is smiling...
He is really talking!!!

Having a kid creating a new world to us. This is real. Anyway.  It is challenging to be a new parents when it comes to adapt new circumstances. Totally. I think I completely focused on labour and delivery preparation while I was pregnant. I didn't realize that preparation after the baby was born beyond way important than the childbirth. Now I am new mommy for our baby named Axel Raleigh Holmes. Robert and I learned swaddling, diapering, bathing, feeding, burping from the first day we brought him to home. Those are just part of it. There are tons of childcare thing that we should learn and I think we are doing good in every way of it.

From childbirth recovery, handling postpartum hormones, adjusting the body changes and coping with sleep deprivation, I am normally still adjusting myself to manage all those thing.  Axel is exclusively breastfeeding every 2-3 hours and sometimes get fussy and cranky.  So there is NO good night's sleep for few weeks. Honestly it is quite stressful when he is crying for no reason within hour on unpredictable day or night.

We do a lot of reading about the baby and stuff and technically research all the information from the parents experience so that we don't do anything wrong or worrying over nothing.  Time goes by and I have no idea where the time goes when Axel already turned to 1 month old plus.

My heart melt everytime I see those teeny weeny fingers grabbing my thumb while feeding him..

and his itty bitty toes....

I love every part of it.
