Easter happened on Sunday April 20th last weekend.... Egg hunts? We do not think he is understand yet. So we gave him a soft plush toy - rabbit and see how he responds to it. 




He dropped it on the floor!

This year, there are three of us. Axel grandparents will be missing him this time. Too young to get present? Maybe or maybe not. We totally curious and wondering how our little baby open the present. He woke up and was so excited when I gave it to him in the morning 25th. We know he does not understand what is all about and it was so interesting. The green wrapper really  fascinating him.

We spent our Thanksgiving Day at parent's house today. We were so blessed that we had such wonderful family gathering and having special dinner. Turkey, sweet potatoes, stuffing, cranberries sauce and pumpkin pie were part of holiday tradition meals. Thanks Martha (my mom in law). Those were lovely meals!! I brought some food which I cooked at home for them

Those foods that I talked about before. They were bread pudding and devil eggs for our feast at parent's house.


It was first attempt I made raisin bread pudding.

Fourth of July was just past a couple hours ago. It is Independence Day and also federal holiday in the US. Generally that day associated with fireworks, parades, barbeques, concerts and other things. We had not chance to see the fireworks at the beach this year. But we did something on the night of 4th of July.
We bought star marshmallows the other day and made marshmallow kabobs. Reds, whites and blue color are resembling the flag of the US. Such a cute treat!
 We burned those marshmallows. Here it is...yum yum!
We grilled the corn on the cob and some hotdogs
I made Southern style pound cake with blueberries and strawberry decoration. Did it look like an American flag?
Last but not least, our fireworks videos. It was an hour video and it was cut, selected and edited. Personally they are still evergreen. We bought the fireworks from South Carolina a couple years ago and fired them on 4th of July. We really really had fun that time!

Today is the Christmas day. I woke up late this morning. Alice went out early this morning to Beaulaville for Christmas feast at Elaine's house. Personally My baby and I really do not have Christmas spirit like everybody else. Many people decorate their house after the Thanksgiving day. Maybe it was because it is just like normal holiday and nothing so special.


Definitely I changed my mind and got motivation about holiday when I went to the garage and see all the decorations stuff on the pool table. I was thinking to put up all the decorations around the house into the "Christmas Theme" today.


But the tree, I have been putting up the tree 3 days ago before christmas. Anyway this year we have a fake tree. I still miss the smell of fir tree when I put it up last year.

The pictures below showed the decoration I put around the house. First thing was decoration on the door
Then I replaced the old clock to christmas theme clock

I also set the table with Poinsettia flower and green and red table cloth. The red color of the flower was really outstanding.
Even my dog, Babe..I put a stuff on his head to represent a reindeer. I took much time to make him stay with that thing because he did not like that stuff on his head and he tried to take it off.

We decided to have roast beef instead of turkey. So I made roasted beef, potato salad, sweet potato pie and blueberry jelly. You can see how juicy the beef was..actually it was a whole 3 lb beef but it was cut by Robert.

My plate contained a slice of roast beef, potato salad and some mixes of lettuce.
The color of jelly was  crystal blue and it was really strange when I saw it on my plate. But the taste was yummy.

Thanksgiving day is one of the national holiday in the USA. It is time to offer thanks, family gathering, large meals and family dinner. Most government offices, businesses and schools are closed on that day. It is a time for turkey, stuffing, cranberries sauce and pumpkin pie being served everywhere to mark the day. I think we just excited about that special FEAST. As usual turkey is the main dish in Thanksgiving day. It can be baked, roasted or fried. Alice cooked turkey this morning and she also made cranberries salad  or sometimes it's called congealed salad in a baking dish. Mash potatoes, corn and stuffing were prepared by Robert and I made a pumpkin pie.



My plate contained of turkey slices with cranberry jelly, corn, stuffing and some lettuce salad.



The salad made of cranberry jelly, cottage cheese, crush pinapple and Jello cherry flavour.

The pumpkin pie made of pumpkin puree, 2 eggs, evaporated milk, sugar and spices (nutmeg, cinnamon, ginger)
