I finished reading 4 novels this month. All those novels are Sidney's and I greatly enjoyed reading the books and experiencing variety of careers and personal characteristics.

The naked face - Dr Judd Steven, a psychiatrist is suspected of murdering 2 close people which involved with him. The killer is a mystery and he hires private investigator to prove his innocent and track down the real murderer. I also keep guessing who did it while I was reading the book.

Nothing lasts forever - 3 women doctors who have loves, dreams working at the same hospital in San Francisco, California. They came from different background and everyone got unexpected destiny. The story also tells life and death in an operating room, a hectic life environment in the hospital. At least I know the true working life in the hospital and relationship between patients and doctor and among doctors.

The Other Side of Midnight - The story focuses the life of two women Noelle who is from Paris and Catherine is an American. The characters gradually show of passion, love, vengeance and fascinating plot as the story progress.

The Memories of Midnight - The novel is sequel of the Other Side of midnight. I read this book once in 2008 and I re-reading it to remember the characters and the plot.  The story was surprising, suspense and absolutely satisfied at the end of chapter. Great book!!

29 March 2012

We headed to Penang from Jitra on Sunday morning at 4 am. Frankly we were excited about the race which was held at Padang Kota Lama, Penang.  Robert took part in 17 km race sponsored by Malakoff Corp. Bhd. The race started at 7 am and we absolutely got enough time to reach there before 7 when we crossing the Penang Bridge at 6 am. It was still dark and surprisingly Padang kota was so breezy and calm.

The organizer served little breakfast like cereal bars to everyone and a lot of participants busily warming up around the place. When the race was going on I walked around the Padang Kota and took several pictures while waiting for him to finish the race.

This time I didn't know why I stood at the corner of the road, I suppose to wait him at finish line but I didn't. I saw him running and I tried to run with him but he was certainly faster than me. I missed the picture of him at the finish line. Next time, I think I just better wait him there.

I met him at the finish line and we went to the water station to get the cold water bottles. He stretch his body at the corner of the field

Amazingly Rob finished it good compared to the race in Bukit Jalil. I was so proud of him. He got 11th place out of 140 runners for Men's 17km category. The total runners were 800 people with different category and I am not sure his rank if it out of 800.

The third winner's finish time was 1 hr 8 min and Robert's finish time was 1 hr 20 minutes. It was just 12 minutes late which I think it was quite incredible result. Anyway he looked happy.
He got a goodie bag which contented a box of cereal, gatorade drink and few things and a medal...

We off to KL around 11 am

We drove off to Northern Malaysia last weekend and decided to spend two nights at my sister house (2nd sis-Zalina) in Jitra, Kedah. Our plan changed unexpectedly so we arrived at 10 pm which I think considerably late. We couldn't imagine how tired we were after driving a long highway but we were so incredibly happy that we safe and got a great warm welcome when we finally arrived at her house.

On the next day, we went to a few places in Alor Setar city and stopped by at Pekan Rabu to buy some snacks. Both of us love spicy lentil so we bought a few packets and other sweet treats.

We took along an orange frisbee with us and we played it in the evening at the park with nephews.  Four of us absolutely had fun throwing and catching the frisbee. It was really great exercise!

We had a wonderful dinner at her house.

20 March 2012

I've seen a lot of movies lately but the movies that had caught my attention were Hugo and The girl with the Dragon Tattoo. These movies are really interesting and so creative.

Hugo was really interesting movie. The movie related to the orphan boy who lives alone in railway station Paris and keeps the train station clocks running. His late father left him automaton that need a special key to unlock the secret. He meets an old man, a shopkeeper George Melies and discovers surprising connection between automaton and that old man's past memories.

The girl with the dragon tattoos took almost 3 hours long. I watched it more than once because there were so many things I missed and so many dots that I have to connect. It is about journalist (Daniel Craig) and his punk computer hacker assistant (Rooney Mara) working together in the investigation of a wealthy man's niece who disappeared 40 years ago. The plot of the story is mystery and totally is not boring.

13 March 2012

This time race was in Stadium Bukit Jalil on Sunday, March 11. Rob participated in half marathon (21km) running category sponsored by Brooks. The race started at 5.30 am so we left home at 3.15 in the morning. Both of us got pretty rough day on Saturday and we had some depression on Sunday morning. Unfortunately no photos of the event. It shouldn't be that way. I am totally regret what had happened to us. He didn't win this time but I am really glad he did good for his half marathon.

The co -sponsor of the back of medal

We will do better next time.

Have you heard jeggings? I bet you do. The term jeggings are from jeans and legging or it is actually denim leggings. They look great with high heels, boots even look good with flats. I am crazy about them.

I bought two pairs of Levi's jeggings few months ago in the US. I am totally LOVE wearing those. It making your legs slimmer and your butt look amazing.  I wore jeggings a lot with knee high boots especially in the fall/winter season but here I am not wearing it so much and  I do sometimes wear it with flats.
