Walking on the trail was my highlight on Sunday morning (15 June). I did not do it alone. I joined this group and signed up two days before the event. It was more than 20 people involved. They have done hiking on many trails at many places but me as a new person to this group. It was huge group and these people are nice and fun.

The place was at Kota Damansara Community Forest or short form KDC. It was about 10-15 minutes drive from my house.  I heard it few times about this place and I finally made it. There are 3 trails and we plan to hike "Temuan Trail". We started around 8 am and I finished about 9 am.

I really felt wonderful after that. Fresh morning start on Sunday. With a little stretch before hike, I made non stop walking and no panting along the trails. Importantly water bottle in your hand and watch out the stumps across the path that you might step on it or get trip. I was pretty hope to see wildlife like monkeys or other animals but nothing showed up.

We spent our leisure time with workout last Sunday. Lifting weight and skiing on the ski machine were part of  routine indoor exercise in the winter. 

Another exciting thing was boxing. Generally it's really release your tension. If you feel hurt, revenge and want to punch someone, the punching bag is the right place.  Punch it! Jab it hard! Harder! Harder as fast as you can! Just kidding about the revenge thing. Anyway it was a good exercise.

Have you seen Slyvester Stallone in Rocky I, II...V movie and Hillary Swank in Million Dollar Baby movie. The movies were really good and they won several awards. You should watch it. We took several boxing shots on that day. We just did it for fun while working out.


So Robert represented Rocky Balboa (Sly). Ok Rocky! 1 2 3 Action...Jab it!
Correct posture and body positioning is important in learning boxing techniques. The proper lead foot will depend whether you are right handed or left handed boxer. Right handed boxer will have their left foot in front and vice versa for the left handed. Even the punching bag is small size but the impact is great.

I represented Maggie (Hillary Swank) from Million Dollar Baby. Pig tail braid hair style and sleeveless shirt making my image just looked like her, and ACTION!!

There were few pictures of myself but they were blurry. The reason was because he got shaking hand after lifting weight when he took my picture. Hmmmpph! Did I look like a fighter?? Seriously..................................................... not...haha
We just have one pair of glove and one punching bag. So I let him finish his workout with boxing while I took a break and sat with my buddy, Babe. 

Babe and I enjoyed sitting and watching the evening scenery together. Was that sound romantic !? Na-ah...we are buddy! We also have some chit chat together...What were we talking about?!! huhu  some of it was about teasing Robert..
Mmmm ok the story began like this.. Recently Robert won a $100 Gift Card from Hearst Company. This company selling the best steak ever, like New York Beef, Lamb, and some good quality product. Each item cost about $20++ per piece. Obviously it's so expensive. We've been discussing about what we should have from the gift card. I wish he could bought me some lamb because I love lamb chop. but sadly he did not like lamb...So that was part of my joke below:

 Suddenly a man was driving a red truck just passing by the yard, he barked that truck like crazy and so annoying.

Running, swimming  and biking are part of the cardiovascular exercise which do not cost much and can be done almost everywhere. I realized they are very important for my physical fitness but seriously all those physical acitivites are the laziest thing when it comes to me.


Once you started the exercise you have to keep it up and doing it regularly. When you stop for some times, you have to start all over again. The reason to keep going is to maintain more healthy body weight and to keep blood circulating all over your body. Sometimes we  see people hire a physical trainer or coach to achieve their objective and motivation. It is like a JOB to keep your body fit and you get to be serious on it. I don't like to think it as a job, it is not fun. Exercise should be fun and you got to love it while doing it.

Personally I really enjoy doing exercise in group such as aerobic steps, yoga and dance. It is more fun and keeps me motivate to do it at least twice a week. But when I don't feel to go anywhere, the exercise equipment is one of the alternative to keep me accompany. So I am presenting our Nordic Track Skier or I just called ski machine. Babe was in the pic accidentally. I love to see him sitting like that, like a bear.


As technology advanced with electronic treadmill and elliptical trainer, this ski machines has its own advantageous. It's provide total body workout, low impact manner and raise metabolism. It uses long ski board or foot pedals that move on rollers using leg motion and swivelling rope or pulley system for arms  movement.


I took sometime to get use to the whole set when my baby introduced to me. I started exercise with legs  first but once I obtained the coordination needed to exercise lower body  then I slowly added the upper body workout using that pulley system.

It is like skiing but obviously does not require the snow. I placed my foot into each section in the foot pedals and adjust the waist pad so that it supports when I lean forward.

I took about 45-50 minutes of exercise on that ski machine. It was really vigorous workout and made me sweat like running miles away. Listening the songs is great for fighting off boredom while exercising. I chose a few techno songs while working out. The different upbeat music background making me  feel  energized and powerful. In fact, it really helped me to workout at higher intensity, increase effectiveness and won't feel tired after that.

So just hop on any exercise equipment, get the great cardio workout and let it be part of your healthy lifestyle.
