Avoiding the chances to get good items? No way!  I think everybody love free foods and nice stuff. All those items in the picture above were some of the free stuff I claimed from the Walmart store. The companies sent me the coupons in the mail last week and I felt so excited.

Clairol company has launched foam hair color this year and they had given away 100,000 free boxes which is 25,000 each day for 3 days. Registering name in their Facebook page was part of the application. I could imagine  the page was hardly open due to the traffic over the internet on the first day, everybody want it so I kept trying to refresh the page.  I successfully registered my name after trying for a while. I tried also on the 2nd day with Robert's name. I didn't think it was success because of the same address. But luckily he got that coupon in the mail yesterday.

 

Planters also had given 50,000 free packs of peanut or almond for a night and advertised it on the Facebook.  50,000 packs wasn't much. I had to really  quick register on that night.

Even I am not a coffee drinker, I still want free a bottle of coffeemate. They launched some new flavours and I do not know the total of bottle they had given away. Now most companies using Facebook to promote their product. But you have to like them.

Sunday - Boxing and lil' chat

We spent our leisure time with workout last Sunday. Lifting weight and skiing on the ski machine were part of  routine indoor exercise in the winter. 

Another exciting thing was boxing. Generally it's really release your tension. If you feel hurt, revenge and want to punch someone, the punching bag is the right place.  Punch it! Jab it hard! Harder! Harder as fast as you can! Just kidding about the revenge thing. Anyway it was a good exercise.

Have you seen Slyvester Stallone in Rocky I, II...V movie and Hillary Swank in Million Dollar Baby movie. The movies were really good and they won several awards. You should watch it. We took several boxing shots on that day. We just did it for fun while working out.

So Robert represented Rocky Balboa (Sly). Ok Rocky! 1 2 3 Action...Jab it!

Correct posture and body positioning is important in learning boxing techniques. The proper lead foot will depend whether you are right handed or left handed boxer. Right handed boxer will have their left foot in front and vice versa for the left handed. Even the punching bag is small size but the impact is great.

I represented Maggie (Hillary Swank) from Million Dollar Baby. Pig tail braid hair style and sleeveless shirt making my image just looked like her, and ACTION!!

There were few pictures of myself but they were blurry. The reason was because he got shaking hand after lifting weight when he took my picture. Hmmmpph! Did I look like a fighter?? Seriously..................................................... not...haha

We just have one pair of glove and one punching bag. So I let him finish his workout with boxing while I took a break and sat with my buddy, Babe. 

Babe and I enjoyed sitting and watching the evening scenery together. Was that sound romantic !? Na-ah...we are buddy! We also have some chit chat together...What were we talking about?!! huhu  some of it was about teasing Robert..

Mmmm ok the story began like this.. Recently Robert won a $100 Gift Card from Hearst Company. This company selling the best steak ever, like New York Beef, Lamb, and some good quality product. Each item cost about $20++ per piece. Obviously it's so expensive. We've been discussing about what we should have from the gift card. I wish he could bought me some lamb because I love lamb chop. but sadly he did not like lamb...So that was part of my joke below:

Friday Night Fever

Every Friday night, we never missed this Starz tv show. This one hour tv series content of extremely violent, bloody, full of nudity and strong sexuality. No scene-cut and very adult. That is why it started at 11 pm. 

Anyhow, it is about Roman empire history, Roman civilization, Roman culture which  practiced the gladiator  combat games, treated  the games as a business and they believed a championship title to gain honor and victory. It also showing the Romanian characters in politics and their social life society. The Roman like...

Oopss, I think I stop telling about Roman stuff...it is like Roman-Greek history class. Ok let's get attention about the story..

Personally it's totally not fun to watch human fighting like wild animals to entertain the Roman audience in the arena. The audiences involved women, young kids and they were so excited watching brutally killing games, the blood and death. Woohoo! I had short breath and it's really made me heart-stopping when I watched the bloody-fighting, I turned my sight to the other side everytime for the part that I couldn't stand it. My baby just relaxed and it seems like nothing happen. He said " It is just a graphic,not real".  oh ok! maybe you are insensitive about barbaric action scene. Crashing the skull, stabbing to death, splashing of blood were part of the fighting event.

Even that brutal scene was not real but generally the whole story line was so entertaining. Instead of gore, blood scene, that drama focus on each characters of backstabbing and revenge driven plots between the owner, slaves and women. It also showing straight,homosexual, bisexual environment around the society.  So some making love and naked scene were included in the drama. The old literature language has been using  in their communication. Such as they said "gratitude" instead of thank you, " That is my desire" instead of "yes".

Oh I forgot to tell you what's the title of the show was? Haha...ok ok..

It was Spartacus-God of Arena - Season 2

Most of the role names ending with ......U.S such as Gannicus. He is a champion warrior in this season. The best gladiator. He's cute. I don't think I adore him but his muscular body  really attracting me. Introducing Gannicus in person...

Do you remember the men in  300 movie? They all have 6 packs abs muscle. So this drama-series also need man like them. Every gladiators has a muscular body, zero percent fat. NOT like a body builder with a giant muscles all over the body.

The owner of the gladiator  training school  named Batiatus and his wife named Lucrecia. They managed a school for the slaves, convicted criminal to become a gladiator. Sound lunatic huh!

That bald head black man named Oenomaus. He is the trainee of the gladiators or they called "doctore"

Let see the expressions of the audiences when they see the gladiators fighting in the arena. Watching the bloody games really making them enjoy and exciting.

In every series the fighter using helmets, spears, swords and shield and attempted killing to each other. This was some the violent part that I couldn't even see it. Maybe I am too sensitive about blood.

Ok that was all for Friday night. My baby is the one who recording this show every week, not me. We will be watching the last episode -6th on next Friday and the end of the God of the Arena series..

Red Velvet cake on V day

Today most people around the world celebrating love by giving flowers, chocolates, card and candies. This is the day where they could send the love wishes OFFICIALLY to their loved ones. I agreed when my hubby said "Every day is a valentine day" which he meant was everyday is a loving day but today I think it is more official. :P

Besides receiving such wonderful cards and heart-shaped chocolate, red velvet cake  is part of the theme. For my personal view, the red velvet cake is really elegant and very classic.  It's really excellent choice of dessert  for  special occasion. Generally this cake is the most expensive than the other cake. 

Obviously I didn't make it from scratch this everning. It was red velvet mix from Duncan Hines brand. The mix made my job sooo..easily. I would think twice to bake a cake from a scratch. huhu!

Personally both of us love red velvet cake. We have been craving it since few months ago but we put on hold  because we wait for a special day. So today this cake is the most highlight of the day. I know it is not perfect make up but the important is delicious.

Combination of the colors are so unique with its bright red color and offset by white cream cheese frosting. The red color which represents symbol of love, passion, emotion and victory made it more special on this Valentine day.

Nylabone and internet

The internet broke down at home and freezing to death temperature turning my mood into a melancholy feeling since last week. That feeling also reminded me about Sir Walter Wally had made his correct prediction about 6 more weeks of winter. Apparently we got raining for many days and snow flurry which was only lasted few hours yesterday. It's been freezing since then.

The package which I ordered from Amazon surprisingly arrived today and it  cheered me up a little. Maybe it was because a gigantic toy for babe. I love to see him getting new stuff. It was like giving a new toy to a kid. Human got occupied with  a lot of different activities to keep them busy in life but animal  also needs something to get him a hectic life. The package was 8 inches long red Nylabone rubber toy. It made from durable nylon and synthetic thermoplastic. The knuckle bone that I gave him three weeks ago was still ok and I guess it would last another more weeks.

 

I knew he would surprise and excited about a new toy, so I put both knuckle bone and nylabone together to make it more exciting. See the video below. Which one will he choose??

Babe has strong teeth and jaws. Chewing it for hours and breaking it into pieces making his feeling extremely satisfaction. We were thinking that we should give him curfew by changing with the other stuff  alternately to teach him that he should not focus only one toy.

The network technicians  from century link came today and they have been hardly working since in the morning to fix the internet even it was raining and cold. The line has been on and off intermittently for several days and obviously we did not know actually the problem was after we checked the wire around the house.  And thankful it's working now and appreciate with their good job.

Groundhog - winter predictor

"If the groundhog sees its shadow and pop out back into its burrow
means there will be 6 more weeks of winter
But if he didn't see his shadow and leave its burrow
means there will be early spring ".

That is  a legend and it becomes a tradition for American today to celebrate a Groundhog Day in February 2nd, every year. 

 

It is time where American believes that groundhog would give them a sign whether there will be more winter or early spring. The biggest Groundhog Day celebration is in Pennsylvania where thousands of people have gathered to celebrate it. Some states even named their own groundhog such as Punxsutawney Phil in PA, Woody the Woodchuck in Mi and here in NC they named as Sir Walter Wally, the master of shadow.

Well, how often that groundhog's prediction correct? Will that means the nasty, brutal cold weather will be over soon? Generally I don't bother about the Groundhog Day, does it really matter? but I have little curious to know about it since the "Groundhog Day" movie become a marathon movie show today. It is 1993 comedy movie and it still popular until now.

I think most people just excited about the changing of weather and making fun by using the rodent to become one of the predictors. Anyway the track history records show most of the groundhog's predictions are wrong.
