We spent lovely Sunday at the Farm in the City. I've actually found that place when I searched about petting zoo. Seriously I want to introduce Axel with nature in early age. He always watching animals on TV and this time he will get closer look what animals look like and experience to walk around them. The place is located at Seri Kembangan, Selangor and you can find it with gps or waze. The place is very shady with trees and very comfortable to walk through it.

The trip began with the giant land tortoise park. The zookeeper provided us some veggies and I showed Axel to feed the tortoise. We took pictures. There are different kind of tortoise and several ponds and aquarium filled with turtles.

He said with out loud "turtle!!"

Then we went to a reptile farm...we saw snakes such as giant pythons and giant monitor lizard in the glass cage. I didn't take any pictures of snake. I guess I do not like snake.

Next we walked to the bird aviary. There are many small birds flying over the trees and our head, turkeys and ducks in the water. The interesting part were the birds and the ducks eat their food out of my hand.

We stopped at the small lake to see fish and omg! there were a lof of fishes crowded on the surface of the water. We fed them with a bowl of pellets.
Axel felt amazed and said "Fish!!" while pointing his finger to them.

We fed the deer too.

We saw varieties of tamed animals such as rabbits, small ponies, small kangaroos, goats, skunk and few owls at the park. Unfortunately my batter camera died and I couldn't take anymore pictures. Some with my phone camera. The most activities we did were feeding the animals and we felt great about it. We spend almost 2 hours there and we enjoyed most of it.

We also plan to go there some other time
.
Here is some of the information of the park

Lately I realized that Axel played with stuffed animal. He carried one of them around the house and take with him anywhere he wants to. Honestly he fascinated me when I watched him playing with the animal toys. He treated them like his friend. I've actually read about toddlers and stuffed animal and this first friend which is actually help them to learn

1) To be independent - it is actually help toddler cope with separation anxiety.
2) To deal with emotions - can learn to manage their major tantrum
3) Learning languages
4) Get along with others
5) Building confidence

Let's see who are his first friends........Happy 25th Months Axel!!

This night hike was my first time since I joined the KL Hiking group. I have been to KDCF last year but it was morning time. So the 2nd time happened on Wednesday night last week (March 18th). The participant gathered around 8 pm and started to hike around 8.30 pm. The special thing about hike at night is I have to carry THREE MANDATORY things which are head light, whistle and water bottle. And I carried extra stuff like backup small torch light and blinking light in a tiny fanny pack.

I took a long with me a bottle of water which mixed with lemon flavored salt tablet. The taste is better than 100 plus drink.

The trail that we hiked was 12 km round trip. Since I walked fast in a group plus tripping, slipping off and lost in the middle of the trail. I finished and walked out of the forest around 11.44pm. That 12 km walked was totally such a long trail!

The participant joined the hike were about 50+ people. Even though it looked such a crowd at the start point they finally separated because some of them ran and some of them walk. So everybody did own their own pace.
