Run 5k - MAEPS Hush Puppies

Date: Sunday 29th Nov 2015, 

Time: 7.30 am

Venue: MAEPS Serdang

This is the last running event I participated for this year. It was a charity run and it's called Body shoe Hush Puppies Fun Run & Walk organized by Hush Puppies Malaysia. 

The running course was on the road around MAEPS and I seriously enjoyed the sightseeing of the scenery of farms and plantation while burning off some calories. I bet other runners felt the same way too. Some runners stopped to snap pictures.

It started at 7.30 am and I finished around 8.15 am.

Lucky draw was the end of the day, the organizer gave away hush puppies vouchers worth RM 1000. My number was not lucky enough to win those prizes but i felt happy for other who won it.

Weekend Getaway: Klana Beach Resort, PD

My sister and I headed to Port Dickson and stayed in Klana Beach Resort two weeks ago.  It was actually her idea to get off of city so she invited  my mom and us to go. Since we arrived there in the afternoon, Axel and I went to the beach just to relax and play sand.

 Axel was terribly having fun with sand. 

I think he forgot where he is now. He does not care about water at all.

My rating of this hotel about 7/10. They have 2 types of bedroom which are facing to the yard or sea view. The hotel is on the hill so we have to go down by steps to access to the beach. Since the access is just for hotel guest, we have our own space to lay on the beach for quite sometimes.

Okay we satisfied with the room, the air conditioning was working really good and the important thing we had nice sleep. The breakfast food were nice which they have mix local and western foods.

We checked out the hotel after breakfast and visited the ostrich farm just nearby from the hotel.

Some animals like goats were out of cage and this ostrich also has freedom to move where ever he likes

The farm not only has ostriches but they have other animals like horse, camel, rabbits and other pet animal. The fees entrances is RM 15 for adult and children above 3. They also sell food like grass or leaves to feed the animal.

Art of 2 years old

Seems Axel spent of his day time draw things on the whiteboard. I have noticed he is a right handed which is not like me who was born with left handed. We stick papers on the wall too so that he can draw anything the way he likes on the wall.

Cookies ( butterless)

Lately, I have been craving cookies like subway kind which is chewy.. actually all of us love it including my little one Axel. One thing always happen at the time I want to bake something, one or two ingredients occur not available. This time I have not much butter left. I searched the recipe for butter-less cookies and I found this recipe 

I am really thankful to the post of the blog and I made fresh baked cookies for several times. Honestly they were good.

Brand New

We finally picked a new car last three weeks ago after 7 days booked. It was Saturday, Sept 5th in the morning around 10 am. The 5th of day which is actually Axel became 31 months year old. Special day. We chose transport that simple, reliable and easy to maintain. Silver again! We snapped pictures before we took off from the showroom.

30 Months Axel

Axel turned 30 months old ( 2 1/2 years) this month. Sometimes you wish that your kid never grow up. Time flies and it is hard to believe he is growing up around me. This month also he had checked up and vaccination jab - Hep A 2nd dose at doctor office (Tropicana Med Centre).

Frankly, I am the one of million fans of Nicole Kidman. I spotted this video and honestly I love the way she lives in Australia and also loves her cute dress. Seriously it reminded me how do I used to live in a big area and being real with natures.

5k run - MGPA Merdeka

Date : Sunday 23rd Aug  2015

Venue: Botanical Park Shah Alam

Distance : 5k

Running in Botanical Park seriously challenging to me. The terrain course is a lot of hills. The race began with going up to the steep hill and I knew it was gonna be tough. My legs started getting tired and I can feel it really takes more energy than running on the flat ground. I found the trick that was easier if I have lean my body forward while running up the hills.

When going down the hills, I felt it is much easier. I  really speeding up all the way down the hills and that was the best part. The surrounding area were green and all big trees on the left and right sides.

I finished my run around 8.05 am. (45 minutes)

The organizer provide all participants goodies bag and some food and drinks. I really love this one..fruits. Banana and watermelon really refreshing me after running. I ate a lot of watermelons...

Milo drink? Oh no!!...but it is okay to other people. That chocolate water is not my favorite after race. Don't be surprise, there were long line up (long queue) of people to get this drink.

 I went back home around 10.30 am after lucky draw session.

28th Month Axel

This month Axel turned to 2 years 4 months...Thankfully he is growing up healthy. He loves book especially related with animals. The mini yellow bus is like his close friend.

Relay 3k - BottleHope June 7

I signed up relay run. It means that running in a team which is consist of 3 people 2k+2k+3k. But on that day I ended up ran alone because of late matters. The run events was held in Padang Merbuk, KL in the evening at 6 pm. There were two reasons why I was late. I relied on my friend to pick me up at home and I have to meet my sister before the race for car.

I guess I was the last person to run at the start line. Everybody included my team had gone. The organizer stopped me before I run and told me I have to run individual 7k since I wasn't with the team. I haven't trained hard few days before the event so I let them know that I just want to run less than 7k. The organizer let me to do any distance and asked me to claim the medal after that. That was nice of him!

I tell you the road were hilly and I managed to run slowly. While I was running,  a woman from Segamat got close beside me. We were talking while running and introduced each other.

I did 3k only. :-P. The organizer stopped me again when I reached the finish line. I couldn't understand what his question because I was breathing hardly that time and thinking to get water. Surprisingly the organizer gave me a two medals. I was wondering why I got two medals and I think because I ran for another member of my team. 

The volunteers supplied the participants, water, banana and a nice water bottle. And again I met that Segamat woman and she invited me to take picture with her. I felt so honored.

I also found my team and gave one medal to one of my team member. Here is my medal and a free water bottle.

I felt good after running on that day.  I met nice and friendly people and that makes me humble and touchy.

9 to 5 Run

I signed up 5k running event called "9 to 5 run" on Saturday May 9th. This time I have little running mate, my toddler son. A friend of mine also joined us to run together.The event happened in such a great place and it was my first time run in Putrajaya with stroller. 

The run started at 7.30 am and we never expected that this event got a tremendous response from public which participated by 15,000 people. Wow! It was such a huge crowd and we took about 10-15 minutes to get off of the crowd. Most of them who joined 5k walked along the road..

We had rainy weather but just a while. Luckily I took umbrella with me and cover the stroller. The heavy rain really showering three of us. We really had fun running in the rain. 

I wondered Axel enjoyed it so much as he smiled when looked at me while I was pushing him along the track. We finished by 8.20 am which was really good. 

Since there was so crowded with people we decided not to wait until the lucky draw event. I collected my t-shirt at the counter and we left Putrajaya around 9.30 am.
