We headed to Penang from Jitra on Sunday morning at 4 am. Frankly we were excited about the race which was held at Padang Kota Lama, Penang.  Robert took part in 17 km race sponsored by Malakoff Corp. Bhd. The race started at 7 am and we absolutely got enough time to reach there before 7 when we crossing the Penang Bridge at 6 am. It was still dark and surprisingly Padang kota was so breezy and calm.

The organizer served little breakfast like cereal bars to everyone and a lot of participants busily warming up around the place. When the race was going on I walked around the Padang Kota and took several pictures while waiting for him to finish the race.

This time I didn't know why I stood at the corner of the road, I suppose to wait him at finish line but I didn't. I saw him running and I tried to run with him but he was certainly faster than me. I missed the picture of him at the finish line. Next time, I think I just better wait him there.

I met him at the finish line and we went to the water station to get the cold water bottles. He stretch his body at the corner of the field

Amazingly Rob finished it good compared to the race in Bukit Jalil. I was so proud of him. He got 11th place out of 140 runners for Men's 17km category. The total runners were 800 people with different category and I am not sure his rank if it out of 800.

The third winner's finish time was 1 hr 8 min and Robert's finish time was 1 hr 20 minutes. It was just 12 minutes late which I think it was quite incredible result. Anyway he looked happy.
He got a goodie bag which contented a box of cereal, gatorade drink and few things and a medal...

We off to KL around 11 am
